These proceedings provide a record of the papers that were presented at the meeting. The concept of the meeting was to bring interested engineers and scientists together to review more recent work and to examine ways in which the topic could be developed for the benefit of the process industries and the environment. All aspects of fouling in relation to design, surface treatment, operation, maintenance, cleaning, prediction, assessment, and monitoring of heat exchangers were discussed.
