Abstract

The effect of the self-absorption in the C2(d 3Πg, v'= 0 → a 3Πu, v" = 0) emission band was used in order to determine temperatures and column densities of C2 radicals in the a 3Πu, v" = 0 state in carbon, carbon-iron, and carbon-cobalt-nickel arc plasma during carbon nanotubes formation.
