Abstract

Energy-saving bears important relationship to environmental protection. The heat pipe is a heat transfer element with extremely high thermal conductivity. The heat pipe heat exchangers are now widely used in the recovery of low temperature waste heat in China. Great economic benefits have been achieved owing to the implementation of the technology. Meanwhile, air pollution is improved through the reduction of flue gas drainage to the environment. Several examples of the use of heat pipe heat exchangers are given.
