Abstract

At present the world demand for energy constitutes of the order of 11 milliard tonnes of conditional fuel. It is met by approximately 60% at the expense of oil and gas, 30% − at the expense of coal and 10% − at the expense of hydro- and atomic energy.
As a source of energy plant biomass (woods and others) is also used, it constitutes of the order of 1 milliard tonnes of conditional fuel, or 0.7 milliard tonnes of oil equivalent.
