Abstract

An experimental study was carried out on a double pipe heat exchanger to study the behavior of CaCO3 scaling. The influence of thermal-hydraulic parameters on the induction time and later growth rate of the scale has been studied and is presented in this paper. The variation of growth rate at different locations of the heat exchanger is also presented.
