LOCAL ZEOLITE MINERAL (CLINOPTILOLITE) IN ENERGY SYSTEMS

Abstract

In this study, the utilization of the clinoptilolite rich Local (Bigadic) zeolite mineral in energy system as energy storage material was investigated. Dynamic behavior of a column packed with zeolite mineral was examined under adiabatic conditions. The change in the energy density of clinoptilolite was investigated depending on inlet air properties (temperature, humidity, velocity), particle diameter of adsorbent and bed height. It has been proposed that the local zeolite mineral (clinoptilolite) can be used as adsorbent in energy recovery applications.
