Abstract

Our new project for a highly efficient gas turbine system incorporating chemical reaction processes for emissions control, the Chemical Gas Turbine system (ChGT system) is presented. As a background, the historical development of gas turbine-based power systems are reviewed. The present status of the principal technologies used in the ChGT system, such as the fuel-rich pressurized combustor, development of new high-heat-resistant materials, as well as the development and demonstration of a lab-scale micro-ChGT system, are also presented.
