EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF NATURAL CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER FROM HORIZONTAL CONIC

Abstract

Experimental considerations of free convective heat transfer from horizontal isothermal conic in unlimited space are presented. The experiments were performed in water and air for conies with the angles equal to α = 0 (vertical round plate), 30, 45 and 60 degrees and diameter of the base D = 0.1 m. Obtained results and literature data are in a good accordance (maximum within +8.7%) with theoretical solution of this problem presented in paper [9].
