EXPERIMENTAL METHODOLOGY FOR DETERMINING FOULING FACTORS FOR HEAT TRANSFER SURFACES OF BOILERS AND SOME DATA RELATED TO

Abstract

At first, a methodology for determining fouling factors for heat transfer surfaces of large capacity power plant boilers is described in the paper. The description is directed on presentation the most essential aspects of the experiments carried out on real scale devices and data reduction procedure. Also attention has been paid to estimation the uncertainties in experimental fouling factors followed by the regression analysis. For selected coal-fired-boilers of large capacity installed at several home power plants some experimental data concerning fouling factors for platen-type superheaters are presented accompanied by estimation the uncertainties and regression analysis.
