THE EFFECT OF THE ASPECT RATIO L/D ON NATURAL CONVECTION IN THE HYPERBARIC AIR

Abstract

The paper reports the experimental results of natural convection from wires of the different metals and aspect L/D ratios. The investigations were carried out in air within the total pressure range of p = 0.1−5 MPa and temperature t ∼ 24°C. Experimental results are given as correlation that describes an effect of the aspect L/D ratio on the Nusselt number. The results are presented in graphs, as well.
