TURBULENT FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER OF A LIQUID FILM FORMED BY IMPINGING JET

Abstract

Postulated has been a simple model of heal transfer for turbulent liquid films formed by impinging jet. Considered have been two cases: a developing film and a fully developed film. In both cases the model is derived on a basis of a change of film thickness due to inertia and friction forces. Calculated have been velocity and temperature distributions in the liquid film, which enabled also determination of the heat transfer coefficient, corresponding to those cases.
