ABSTRACT
The approximate analytical solution of the problem of diffraction of fundamental mode by impedance slot iris of finite thickness situated in a plane of stepped rectangular waveguide coupling is obtained. For this case it has been supposed that a narrow rectilinear slot coupling aperture of semi-infinite waveguide sections which differ in dimensions of cross-sections has been made in the iris. One (or both) of the iris surfaces is characterized by constant distributed impedance. The solution is based on the induced magnetomotive force method and the method of Green's function for vector potentials. Scattering matrix coefficients of asymmetrical H-plane couplings of two waveguides with impedance slot irises is numerically studied.
