A rigorous numerical algorithm based on the partial-domain technique has been developed for the step junction of two rectangular waveguides, one of which is expected to rotate about its longitudinal axis. This type of junction has been used to develop an algorithm for analyzing the characteristics of inclined finite-thickness resonant diaphragms in rectangular waveguide. It is shown that the possibilities for controlling the diaphragm Q-factor by changing their angle of rotation considerably extend with the diaphragm slots being filled with dielectric.
