Maksimova ABSTRACT Possible approaches to the analysis of the statistics of the antenna array side radiation are set forth. It is shown that random phase errors in excitation of array elements significantly restrict the minimum attainable level of side radiation of arrays used in the equipment for remote sensing of the atmosphere. The expediency of using the descending or Dolf-Chebyshev amplitude distributions in similar arrays is discussed.
