  • Analysis of the Intensity of an Electromagnetic Field Formed by a Two-Path Propagation Mechanism under a Forest Canopy

    ABSTRACT

Propagation of metric and decimetric radio waves in forest environments has been studied. The plant-induced shadowing effect in the receiving point has been analyzed on the basis of a two-path mechanism of field formation. The ratio between the inputs of the diffractive and propagated components has been studied at various problem parameters. The modeling results have been compared against the experimental data received at the frequencies of 200 and 463.9 MHz.
