ABSTRACT

A study has been made into the long extended slots cut through in the wide wall of a rectangular waveguide by using the magnetomotive force (MMF) method. As part of the numerical calculations being performed, the waveguide wall thickness has been taken into account. A computer-aided analysis suggested that in terms of using the extended slots the energy characteristics of the leaky-wave antennas could be optimized.
