    ABSTRACT

A stand for studying of microwave technology for ignition and combustion of pulverized coal is described. Results of experimental investigations obtained on this stand, aimed to study energy and thermochemical characteristics of the interaction of microwave plasma with pulverized coal are presented. The construction of an industrial plasma burner is proposed and perspectives of practical implementation of such technology into industrial burners of boiler of power plants are discussed.
