Influence of dangerous meteorological phenomena upon the flight safety is considered. The main Doppler-polarimetric characteristics of turbulence are shown. The article describes the method for calculation of the SLP−tangent parameter of the inclination angle of spectral differential reflectivity, which is a function of both the precipitation type and turbulence. The formulas for calculation of the turbulence intensity are provided. It is demonstrated the dependence between the turbulence intensity and the value of SLP. The outlook for using these parameters and especially SLP in development of the multi-parameter expert systems based on fuzzy logic are shown.
