    ABSTRACT

This paper considers the influence of the shape of turbulence spectrum onto the microwave echo-signal from rain. Consideration is done in frequency domain. Doppler spectrum of the radar signal is calculated at different intensity of turbulence and rain rate. The inertia of raindrops is taken into account. The developed approach allows calculating Doppler spectrum at different models of turbulence spatial spectra and as functions of median drop diameter, eddy dissipation rate, wavelength, parameters of drop size distribution and radar parameters.
