ABSTRACT
The necessity and appropriateness of applying rational calculus to modeling physical objects are justified. An adequate method of discretization is proposed for planar electrodynamic structures. The high efficiency of this method used for solving problems of Ј-wave diffraction by a stripline array with conductors of zero and finite thickness and for calculating microstrip line parameters is demonstrated. An efficient method of even discretization for numerical solution of differential equations is proposed.
