Maksimova ABSTRACT In the article, there are given simple formulas for estimation of statistical effects in acoustic arrays of the equipment for remote sensing of the atmosphere in the presence of random errors in excitation of their radiators. It is shown on an example of two concrete arrays that even small phase errors in array radiators noticeably influence a side radiation level and a directivity of the arrays. It is noted that the amplitude errors usually are less dangerous than the phase ones. Possible ways of weakening the influence of randomness on array parameters are discussed. In conclusion, expedient directions of further investigations are formulated.
