Panychev ABSTRACT A nonlinear phase radio-range station for measuring distances to radio emission sources (RESs) based on measuring the phase differences between the test modulating signal and the signal at the output of the detector of the receiver of the radio-range station is analyzed; it is shown that the relative error of the range determination is defined by the stability of the probing signal frequency and depends on the root-mean-square value of the phase measurement error; a comparative analysis of the pulsed and frequency methods of nonlinear radio range finding is presented.
