Estimation of the ratio of the efficient signal voltage to the correlated noise of a binary video sequence was simulated by using a nonlinear converter that is described by a limited tangent and taking three counts for the sweep length. The obtained results have a smaller estimation error of the signal/ noise ratio than in the absence of such converter.
