ABSTRACT
Accounting for the current knowledge of the decaying convective boundary layer structure and characteristics, a new theoretical derivation for the convective decaying energy density spectrum has been derived for atmospheric dispersion models. The model is based on the equation for kinetic energy in an isotropic turbulent field and describes the transition between the convective boundary layer and the stable boundary layer.
