Guerrero ABSTRACT The generalized integral transform technique (GITT) is employed in the hybrid numerical-analytical solution of the mixed convection in open-ended channels problems, with automatic global accuracy control toward a user-prescribed accuracy target. The present article is aimed at extending the available database of benchmark results in heat and fluid flow progressively obtained through integral transforms, for the covalidation of more flexible fully discrete approaches. Investigated were the effects of buoyancy on the hydrodynamic and thermal characteristics of the steady laminar convection in the entrance region between inclined parallel plates using a stream-function-only formulation, as well as the convergence rates. Also, a comparison was made with the available literature.
