ABSTRACT
Under the absence of convective flows in the melt, analytical expressions for thermal fields during directed crystallization by the Bridgman method are obtained. Influence of nonuniformity of temperature gradient and motion of ampoule on the shape of crystallization front are studied. The conditions under which the crystallization front is plane are found.
