Lomonosov ABSTRACT Comparative outcomes of computer simulation of certain classes of images with application of discrete cosine transform, the Haar transform and wavelet transforms for JPEG image processing technique are presented on the basis of the main idea of substitute of the image of immediate object of coding for its discrete Fourier transform. In this way the image is subject to the unitary mathematical transform and as a result the obtained coefficients are quantized, encoded and transmitted by a communication channel or are stored in archive.
