The Mixed Strategies of Cooperation and Generalized Leadership for Outputs of Symmetric Duopoly

ABSTRACT

It is shown that the use of strategy of generalized leadership by Stackelberg instead of the traditional strategy of Kournot-Nash competition enables one to solve the classical paradox, known as the "prisoner's dilemma". For all that, the competition strategy is a separate case of the strategy of generalized leadership.
