On September 25−28, 2006, in Vinnitsa on the base of Vinnitsa National Technical University regular conference on automation control (Avtomatika-2006) was held.
International conferences on automatic control are held annually according to initiative of Ukrainian Association for Automation Control (UAAC) starting from 1994.
Objective of the conference is discussion of results of investigations and developments in the field of control of engineering, ecological, economic-organizing and other complex systems, discussions of tendencies of development of control science, establishing scientific contacts, attracting of talented youth to scientific research. During the conference special attention was paid to application of mathematical modeling, methods of theory of optimal control and control under uncertainty on solving control problems in economy, resource and energy saving, aerospace industry, management, medicine and other areas.
Organizing committee selected more than 470 reports on all thematic directions of conference activity. About 250 reports were presented on meetings of seven sections and on two plenary meetings. Academician of National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine V.M. Kuntsevich, Academician of Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine B.I. Mokin, corresponding members of NAS of Ukraine V.F. Gubarev and V.S. Melnik, professor V.I. Ivanenko presented plenary reports.
About 140 participants from different cities and scientific centers of Ukraine, Russia, Belorussia, Azerbaijan, Poland, Israel, Iran and Senegal came to the conference.
Reports recommended for publishing will be included into special issue of "Vestnik Vinnitskogo Politekhnicheskogo Instituta", 2006, No. 5.
Conference was held on high scientific and organization level and became noticeable event for scientists and specialists, whose activity is connected with designing and creation of control systems of different purpose.
According to decision of National Committee of UAAC organization of the next conference on automatic control is planned for September, 2007 in Sevastopol.
