Long-term original data on periphyton algae occurring on artificial solid inorganic substrata in the Dnieper reservoirs were analyzed and generalized for the first time. The taxonomic list of their species was presented. A total of 431 species of algae represented by 478 infraspecific taxa was found during the whole period of investigations (1988−1995, 1999, 2004, and 2005). The largest number of species of periphyton algae (320) was found in the Kiev head-cascade reservoir. On the whole, 51 algae species (63 infraspecific taxa) were registered in the Dnieper reservoirs for the first time. In this case, 3 algae species and 1 their form were new for the algae flora of Ukraine.
