Phosphorus Balance in Fishes under the Influence of Heavy Metals (Cr⁶⁺, Ni²⁺) Contained in the Aquatic Environment

ABSTRACT

Essential disturbances in phosphorous balance were established in freshwater fishes as the responses to enhanced contents (from 1 MPC and more) of Cr⁶⁺ and Ni²⁺ in their aquatic environment. The effects of these metals are manifested in a considerably increased level of phosphorus excretion and its decreased content in fish body.
