    ABSTRACT

The effects of copper ions at concentrations of 0.5 μg Cu2+ /L, 2 μg Cu2+ /L, 5 μg Cu2+ /L, and 10 μg Cu2+ /L on the processes of glycolysis and Krebs cycle in the liver, gills and muscles of carp were studied. At below-threshold concentrations of Cu2+ ions (0.5 μg /L) in the aquatic environment, the energy supply of adaptation processes in carp is performed mainly by the aerobic pathway. At their increased contents in water up to 2 μg Cu2+ /L, 5 μg Cu2+ /L, and 10 μg Cu2+ /L, aerobic processes are inhibited in fish tissues, while glycolytic processes are activated.
