Belyaev ABSTRACT The chronic action of lead ions (0.01 and 0.1 mg/L) and 90Sr (20, 2·103 and 2·105 Bq/L) on the main biological characteristics of Daphnia magna Straus was studied under conditions of the two-factor experiment. The valid toxic influence was registered at all the studied concentrations. A positive modifying effect of the radionuclide in relation to the toxic influence of lead ions was observed under the combined action of radioactive (90Sr 20, 2·103 Bq/L) and chemical contamination.
