The chronic action of lead ions (0.01 and 0.1 mg/L) and ⁹⁰Sr (20, 2·10³ and 2·10⁵ Bq/L) on the main biological characteristics of Daphnia magna Straus was studied under conditions of the two-factor experiment. The valid toxic influence was registered at all the studied concentrations. A positive modifying effect of the radionuclide in relation to the toxic influence of lead ions was observed under the combined action of radioactive (⁹⁰Sr 20, 2·10³ Bq/L) and chemical contamination.
