ABSTRACT

The expansion of the area of distribution of invertebrates, including representatives of Polychaeta, Hirudinea, Mollusks, and Crustacea, was registered in the Dnieper reservoirs in 1990-2000. These species were not specially introduced into the reservoirs. It is likely that favorable abiotic conditions were responsible for the distribution of random species of brackishwater invertebrates in the Dnieper reservoirs.
