    ABSTRACT

It has been established that low water salinity (up to 2−3o/oo) has a favorable effect on growth and development of the larvae of Rana ridibunda L. The alternate keeping of larvae in fresh water and water with a low salinity results in even more accelerated growth and development. As a whole, under salinity conditions changed during 24 h (at salinity fluctuations), the duration of larval development of marsh frog is reduced by 10% as compared to constant optimal conditions. In addition, the mortality diminishes and physiological state of animals improves under changing salinity conditions.
