Effects of phenol (250, 500, 750 mg/dm³) and hydroquinone (10, 50, 500 mg/dm³) on the content of glucose in different organs (gills, mantle, hepatopancreas, gonads) of Unio pictorum were studied. At 250 mg/dm³ of phenol in water the content of glucose in organs of this mollusk increased, but its content decreased in the case of 500 mg/dm³ and 750 mg/dm³. This parameter decreased progressively at the exposure to hydroquinone.
