Zhidenko ABSTRACT The lactate dehydrogenase, isocitrate dehydrogenase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, glucose-6-phosphatase and fructose-1,6-diphosphatase activity were compared in muscles, liver, and brain of yearlings and two-years-old carps maintained at 10−11°C in autumn. It is concluded that the age offish influences the activity levels of major enzymes of glycolysis, Krebs cycle, the pentose phosphate pathway, and gluconeogenesis.
