ABSTRACT

Dynamics of the content of ammonium, nitrite and nitrate, as well as of chlorophyll α concentration, were analyzed in eight tributaries of the Dnieper river. It has been found that there is a negative correlation between NH₄⁺ and NO₃^- content and chlorophyll α concentration. This relationship may be both direct and inverse (in the case of nitrite ion).
