Yevtushenko ABSTRACT The contents of glycogen, fat and proteins in liver of carps cultivated in heated water differed noticeable from corresponding values in carps cultivated in ponds without heating. Thus, it was found that glycogen stores reduced, fat accumulated, and protein metabolism was impaired in liver of fish which grew during summer in floating net pens (FNP). These changes were reflected negatively in functional activity of liver and growth of "warm-water" fishes.
