Razuvanov ABSTRACT Experimental investigation of heat transfer of liquid metal in a longitudinal magnetic field in horizontal heated circular tube with uniform and nonuniform heat fluxes around the tube perimeter was carried out. Experimental conditions were close to those in the blanket and the "first wall" cooling channels of a thermonuclear TOKAMAK-type reactor. Strong influence of thermogravitational convection on temperature distribution, local heat transfer coefficients and temperature fluctuation intensity was observed. The effects are enhanced in the presence of a magnetic field.
