ABSTRACT
Jet mixing of a main hot flow with a coaxial near-wall gas- droplet jet in a horizontal cylindrical channel is studied experimentally. The experiments are conducted at a velocity of a main flow at the inlet to the working section of 30-40 m/sec, a value of the Reynolds number (12)·105. The main flow of air was heated to 50, 100, and 150°C. Mass concentration of water droplets in the near-wall jet amounted to 0,5,10%.
A structure of the flow in the tube is considered by the radial curves of the temperature of "dry" and "wet" thermometers and also by the distribution of a temperature of an adiabatic wall along the channel length. It is shown that evaporation of liquid droplets in the mixing zone, a liquid film formed on the wall leads to a two-fold decrease of temperature near the surface.
