Shokhina ABSTRACT The aim of this work is to investigate heat transfer of a horizontal isothermal cylinder placed in an infinite volume of liquid. A part of its surface is under isothermal conditions and a part of its surface under adiabatic conditions. Four cases are considered. The results of numerical and semi-integral study of local and average heat transfer from the isothermal part of the cylinder surface are given. Comparisons with experimental data known from the literature are given.
