Ratio of the Thermal and Erosion Components in Heat-Erosion Destruction of Materials in a Supersonic Heterogeneous Flow

ABSTRACT

We consider the possibilities for modeling heat-erosion impact of a dusty atmosphere on the elements of the frontal surfaces of rockets on ground-based gasdynamic test benches, which should be reproduced in experimental investigations. A model of heat-erosion destruction of coating materials, in which the total entrainment of mass is divided into thermal, erosion, and gas-mechanical, is proposed. The conditions, when these components are independent of each other and when this dependence can be ignored, are analyzed. The determining parameters are formulated.
