    ABSTRACT

Importance of sorption heat pumps for modern energy-saving technologies has been demonstrated. Results of comprehensive investigations aimed at creating an effective heat-generation system, designed for hot water supply and heating of living houses, production premises, and greenhouses have been presented. A design of an ammonia heat pump with gas energy supply has been described. The specific features of it are application of a sorbent based on the carbon fiber material "Busofit", internal and external heat regeneration systems, as well as ribbed thermal syphons as heat-transfer devices.
