The article presents a review and an analysis of the state-of-the art in solving the problems of modeling media with an appreciable rotational and shear motion (deformations), including the means of decreasing approximation errors (transverse problem of propagation) in algorithms of numerical realization of the mathematical models of thermomechanical processes in moving media, and as a result, the basic notions of the methods of superposed grids and of virtual Z-meshes.
