ABSTRACT

Analysis of the influence of the electricity market liberalization on the conditions of the nuclear power engineering operation in the world and in the Ukraine has been used to discuss the problems of efficiency of the Ukrainian NPPs within the IPS, and the influence of parallel operation of the Ukrainian and CIS power systems on safety of the Ukrainian NPPs. The urgent need for the sale of the domestic electricity in foreign markets for accelerated use of the installed capacities of the Ukrainian FEC, which will allow receiving financial resources required for increasing safety and efficiency and ensuring conditions for extending the service life of currently operated NPPs, has been demonstrated.
