    ABSTRACT

    The dissolved gas analysis methods are reviewed. A combined fuzzy IEC code — key gas method for determining the nature of transformer failures is explored on the basis of the fuzzy sets theory. Only a single or a dominant failure can be determined by the conventional IEC code method. A combined fuzzy IEC code - key gas method allows determining, multiple failures in a transformer and quantitatively indicate the possibility of each failure. The obtained results coincide with the real transformer failures.
