ABSTRACT

The paper analyzes the modeling of specific features of wind power plants and wind parks. Using those models and basing on measurements of wind velocities, statistical parameters of wind power generation parameters have been estimated with regard to the available deployment of wind power capacities on Lithuanian territory. The amount of regulating reserve capacities for compensation of intermittent wind power generation has been determined as well as the possibilities to reduce this amount have been outlined.
