ABSTRACT
The purpose of the present work is to develop suitable descriptors of the inner flow behavior in a two-phase heat transport device that could be related to its heat transfer performance, and to extract this information from flow visualization records. The methods used include the estimation of the flow direction and the axial flow velocity in the parallel tubes, from which the average flow speed in each tube, the level of unidirectionality of the flow in the tubes, and the correlations between flows in the tubes during the operation are obtained.
