The paper is concerned with the circular jet flow issuing along the circular cylinder and in the longitudinal direction. The flow aspect has been investigated by means of flow visualization and flow measurements. In order to grasp the flow characteristics, the attention is focused on the flow feature in the cross section normal to the jet flow. These flow aspects at several downstream locations have been visualized by the PIV system and measured using the hot-wire anemometer system. The visualized image information has been compared with the results of the wavelet analysis obtained by flow measurements.
